HISTORY WILL JUDGE US BY THE DIFFERENCE WE MAKE IN THE EVERYDAY LIVES OF CHILDREN —NELSON MANDELA

In 2020 the NCMEC CyberTipline received 21.7 million reports of suspected exploitation globally. In 1993, Soul Asylum released a ground-breaking music video for their single Runaway Train. Mixed in with images of the band were pictures of missing children. Because of the video, 26 of the 36 children featured were reunited with their families.

In 2018, 424,066 children were reported missing in the US. This translates to the entire cities of Minneapolis, NN or Oakland, CA! Over three days in April 2018, on the 25th anniversary of the original music video, director Jake Scott and artists Jamie N Commons, Gallant, and Skylar Grey came together to shoot and record a new version of the video. With newly designed technology by CISCO, the music video featured missing children local to the viewer. It was an honor and privilege to be a part of this project.
